In the beginning was the fire...

While the Greek King George lit the Olympic fire for the first time in Athens in 1896, his namesake George Henauer fired up his roasting machine for the first time in Winterthur - the foundation stone for a success story and our family business was laid. Soon the company "Henauer Kaffee & Tee" moved from Winterthur to Zurich, in the middle of the Niederdorf. From here, a network of relationships was established around the globe in the years to come.

Cultivating relationships for generations

Good relationships with traders and producers based on partnership have always made the difference for us. We know how our coffee plants are grown, who harvests them and when, and how they are processed. Often the cooperation has lasted so long that we, as the 4th Henauer generation, talk to the 3rd or 4th generation of a coffee farming dynasty. It is not unusual for us to learn in this way about small cultivation areas with special and rare varieties - the basis for our P14 speciality coffee.

From bean to coffee

Along with the constantly expanding product range, we have also grown as a company. In 1986, we moved from Niederdorf in Zurich to Höri for reasons of space. Here we still have enough space for our roasting machines and refinement processes. Here we create our roasts and blends with much love. Because as our company founder said: "From the bean in the field to the pleasure in the cup - we live coffee culture."

We have caffeine in our blood

We are Philipp and Stefanie Henauer and are the 4th generation to run Henauer Kaffee. Coffee has, unsurprisingly, always played a central role in our family. We carry on our family tradition responsibly and innovatively every day. We travel to plantations around the world, stand at the roasting machines, promote coffee culture in all its variations and are far from tired of excellent coffee.

Quality

All our coffees are carefully selected with high standards of quality. The qualitative beans are roasted as single-origin coffee or processed into a delicious coffee blend. Here too, we are constantly on the lookout for new and exquisite coffees. Our aim is to cater to every taste and to offer our customers a wide range of different coffees to choose from. For us, every customer is important, because only your satisfaction satisfies us.
