The use of skimmer socks reduces the frequency of backwashing because far fewer insects, hair and organic material get into the sand filter via the skimmer. It is a simple and sustainable method of conserving precious water.
Our skimmer socks are washable and made of finely woven nylon. We recommend rinsing them thoroughly with water every 2-3 days. A pack of 10 lasts a good year.
