The Swiss stone pine - queen of the Alps

My Swiss stone pine chips are made from selected trunks of high alpine Swiss stone pines which grew in the Flüela and Sertig valleys in Davos at the top of the forest border.

At up to 2000 metres above sea level, the Swiss stone pines grow particularly slowly and develop considerably more of the wonderfully effective essential oils than in lower, less exposed locations. The addition of expensive extracts is not necessary, e.g. turned shavings are thicker and more elastic than the shavings normally available. This significantly increases the service life of the cushion filling.

As a shoe dryer, the scented sachets are stored dry on the heater and put into the shoes after hiking or sports. The shavings absorb the moisture and the essential antibacterial oils provide a pleasant fresh scent.

When used as a scent dispenser, the scented sachets can occasionally be well evaporated to refresh them with the steam iron.
