The Cantuccio al Pistacchio is the traditional Tuscan pastry in a new version. We at Suisstore were very pleasantly surprised that the already perfect original recipe could be refined so well.

Cantuccio (or cantuccino) is the quintessential Tuscan pastry. It is the diminutive of ‘Canto’ which means corner of the house - or generally - bread cut into slices.

Cantuccio di Prato, traditionally dipped in coffee or Vinsanto, is one of Italy's most famous desserts.

The Desideri family's cantucci are made according to the traditional recipe without butter.

The ingredients are mixed together mechanically, but only kneaded by hand, loaf by loaf. The same applies to the cut, which is done by hand, biscuit by biscuit.

This type of processing is a speciality of Cantucci dei Desideri. It makes the Cantucci much softer than those of competitors who produce them by machine.
